My new “Bored?” exercise jar. I found a similar jar on Pinterest in which parents would put activities for their kids to do, and it just made sense to me: if I’m trying to get in shape and I have nothing to do/am bored, why not have a list of things to do, cut it up, and choose one from a jar?

This is genius!

I had an epiphany

So some of my new followers may not be aware that I have a mild case of Cerebral Palsy.

I’ve come to a point in my life where I’m ok with telling people that because now, it tells me that I’ve overcome an obstacle (because I’m so damn active and I’m a pole vaulter for crying out loud!). It tells me that I’ve fought through it and didn’t let it be a hindrance. I used to be ashamed of it, like it’s a sign of weakness, and that it’s just an excuse for poor athleticism.

But not anymore. I’m a strong and powerful woman and I’m proud of where I am in my life. I have flaws, and I’ll have obstacles, but I know that I can get through them.
